LE COMMENCEMENT
53x41 - 2011

Artist: Francoise Amadieu
Dimensions: 105 x 137 x 5 cm
Particularity : in relief work
Original technique: acrylic on corrugated resinated engraved, cut, folded and mounted on wood water-resistant and fire retardant work with anti-yellowing. Subject: Dance, Tango
Context of creation: It is by seeing the movie "The Tango Lesson" I had love at first sight. I had vague memories of a musical on the theme of the tango that I had seen at Chatelet there is more than fifteen years, I loved this dance any voltage controlled, fluid and proud when man asserts his masculinity and femininity of women. The film brought me over this fascinating mystery, which is a dance for two a work of art.
Destination, targeted goals: I wanted to recreate that atmosphere and the material has helped me by putting volume in the creation

Work title : Appena dopo il tramonte
Kòsmos, the Greek word, means both world and ornament, to suggest the beauty of all things and the excitement in contemplating them.
The infinite forms of the world: oceans, flowers, animals, geometric shapes ...
I would like to encompass in each painting a unique, unrepeatable moment of the ongoing transformation of these forms, at the same time pure and magnificent.
The corrugated material, which seems simple and poor, suggests to me new, original shapes and structures through its hidden wealth of forms and textures.
By meddling with its regular, geometric nature I create concave and convex constructions, with three-dimensional effects that extend beyond the flat surface of the painting, so that through the chaos of playful metamorphoses a new harmony is reached. Paper corugated board and enamel.

Allen and Patty Eckman really enjoy highlighting the lives of Natives American. In their work they show in detail the intentions, actions and daily clothes of the protagonists. Transmit their values to young people was important for Natives, this work is particularly representative of this aspect of their culture. Resulting from the production process, the finished product is white, light, and has a tremendous amount of detail depending on the subject and artists own inventiveness.

The Diana Beltran passionsare to recreate nature in detail but also to study relations between colors, movement and space. Tropical birds from largest to smallest are models. Create them in paper, eco-friendly sustainable is part of his convictions. But she does not create only birds, she also creates monumental geometric sculptures. We can only raving.

I created this artwork year back of iconic Army recruitment poster the U.S. for the Army featuring Uncle Sam.
I switched some of the wording to read recycle and added the chasing arrows motif behind for emphasis.
This was a huge artwork for me and the photo has been published many times over.
I still get requests if the artwork is available being so popular.
This piece was also on the front cover of CTN green (Consumer Trend News Green) beating out the spot that was to be occupied by rocker Sheryl Crow of all people.
As it turned out pictures of her were not available so they opted using my art on the cover (see my web site for link to it www.langanart.com).
I used heavy foreshortening techniques to create the likeness.
Aside from the finger point that extends outward about 5" everything is within the scope of the frame depth at 2.5" and used different thickness and placement of board for illusion.
This artwork was the first piece purchased by Ripley Entertainment and now resides in their Atlantic City, NJ museum.
Artwork dimensions: Height: 33.5" x Width: 24.5" x Depth 2.5"
